gravel pitts,it’s as clean as your going to get,or Farm-King, and or Farm and fleet stores.some garden houses has it to ,I’d check out your local florist’s shop, if they don’t have it maybe they can steer ya to the right place to get it.

call your local redi-mix concrete company and ask for washer sand or masonary sand. give them dimensions(length, width and depth) and they will calculate the volume for you.

My wife gets bags from Lowes. If it was up to me, I’d just go dig some from the banks of clean sand by the river bank. You can call your local Department of Natural Resources.
How clean do you think the sand from the big stores is? Do they boil it?
